How the parent coaching process works.
The general process of parent coaching is: . Parent Coaching Process: 1. Parents contact coach to set up a free 30 minute consultation via phone or in person. 2. If interested in receiving services parents decide on a coaching package. 3. Parents and coach decide on day and time of sessions and gather basic intake information. 4. Each one hour session is spent developing strategies to deal with the issues faced by the family. 5. Parent Coach provides books and a large knowledge base to draw upon to empower parents with quality strategies. 6. A written summary of concepts covered is sent to parents via e-mail within 24 hours of consultation. 7. Parents implement new strategies, using the e-mail summary as a guide. 8. Coach is available for consultation via e-mail or phone between sessions for assistance. Coaching is effective for many challenges facing parents such as:
Parenting toddlers - children five and under are in a very critical developmental stage. How you discipline them now will make a huge difference in how easy or difficult your life is in a few years.
Parenting teens - teenagers have very unique issues and need to be dealt with in very specific terms.

Bedtime routine problems - a very common parenting challenge that can be tamed easily with a few changes.
Morning routine problems - by far the most frustrating part of many parent's day, can be less stressful for everyone with a little help from Parent Team.
Mealtime problems - getting children to relax and enjoy the meal together as a family.
Hitting/hurting other children - not what it usually appears to be, once the root is found, the solution is not far behind.
Disrespect of authority - no the child is not a brat, it is actually fear based and can be resolved rather easily.
Yelling - children need to be taught what you do want them to do. Yelling can be curbed with a few modifications to parental approach.
Parenting ADD/ADHD children - perhaps the most misunderstood issue of all. Once we focus a little light on the issue it will not seem so overwhelming.
Eating out in public with children - eating out with your family should be a joy and it will be.
Sibling rivalry - is there really an answer for this age old issue? Yes, how easy it is depends on your unique family dynamics.
Perfectionism in young children - this is a difficult issue to watch your child struggle with. We are learning more ways to help children who worry constantly about being perfect.
How to get kids to listen - the answer for this one will shock you.
How to communicate with your teenager - seemingly impossible, but they can be reached.
Many other issues exist for parents trying their best to raise their children. Ruth understands the daily stress placed on parents.
